Life achievement: Hike to Trolltunga
As soon as we arrived, we noticed some warning signs, advising not to sit on the edge but as young and reckless human being, we surely didn’t respect those signs.

It is actually forbidden to sit on the edge
It wasn’t easy but we didn’t need a training beforehand. We surely regretted it the next few days when both of us couldn’t walk properly and almost needed a walking stick. The first point of advice: don’t plan any physical activity the next day. We started the hike at 6 am, so when we got there, we only queued for 20 minutes to take THE Trolltunga photo.

Whereas people who arrived later had to wait up to 1.5 hours. My second point of advice: start early. Also, even if we only queued for 20 minutes, we managed to witness 2 proposals on the rock. That is clearly another reason to start early but you would need a car, as the first bus is around 7.30am.

Little Gems
After hiking to Trolltunga, we spent a whole day driving to the different waterfalls around Odda. Probably the highest and largest waterfalls I have ever seen. After the Furebergfossen waterfall, we found a stunning picnic place nearby Ænus (we did stop at this village just for its name). It had a picnic table and benches right next to the lake. The rain didn’t stop us as we hide under the table. Most of the people we met at our Airbnb actually just went to Odda for Trolltunga but I recommend to stay one more day, not for its crazy nightlife but to explore the region as it has a lot to offer. Although be ready to randomly wait 30 minutes on the road for an unknown reason. It did happen to us a couple of time.

Overall, this trip was unforgettable. The hike, the waterfalls and the breathtaking landscape, not only during the hike to Trolltunga but also during the trip from Oslo to Odda were incredible. If you had the chance to visit Norway and the energy to hike for 8 hours, Trolltunga is a must do.
